STEPHEN EDWARD BELL

SAN ANGELO ~ Stephen Edward Bell passed away in San Angelo with family on Monday, October 16th, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Garden City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way
He was born on November 8, 1943 in Coleman, TX to Earl and Lometta Bell. He married Reta Hardy on December 21, 1968 in Garden City, TX.
They had two daughters. Stephanie Bell Dobbs of San Angelo, TX is married to Charles Dobbs. They have three daughters, Jillian, Jocelyn and Jensen Dobbs.
Krystal Bell McDaniel of Flower Mound, TX is married to Brandon McDaniel. They have two daughters, Lauren and Katie McDaniel.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Earl Bell and his brother James Bell. Survived by his mother Lometta Bell, sisters Doris Marie Covert and Celia Hollon of Odessa, Texas.
Steve had served in the United States Army from 1963-1967. After the Army, he worked at the Ford Motor Company in Dallas. He owned his own radiator shop in both Desoto and in San Angelo. He later moved to Garden City, TX where he became a rancher and raised his family.
He loved collecting, racing and working on cars. He enjoyed cooking competitions and providing a rest stop for the MS 150 bike riders.
