Betty Ruth Conner Chandler peacefully went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the age of 87. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 at the funeral home with family present 6-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Fairmont Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Betty was born to J.C. and Annie Conner on February 26, 1930. She graduated from Lake View High in San Angelo and lived most of her life on what was lovingly called “Conner’s Corner”. She was loved by all who met her and affectionately called Boo, Granny Boo, and Aunty Boo.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Allen Chandler; parents, J.C. and Annie Conner; and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Carl Best.
While Betty will be happily reunited in heaven with those lost, she leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Leila Conner; her three loving children, Diane Paz, Donna Jackson and Mike Chandler; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty’s true passion in life was family. She was accepting of anyone who crossed her always-open door and welcomed in countless friends and family members to her famous Sunday lunches, which were cooked with love and always the very best.
She adored the children of the family and loved each “a bushel and a peck” and gave the very best hugs around the neck.
Her unselfish love and giving heart will be missed by all who knew her.
