Doris Jean McCrohan, 81, departed peacefully after a lengthy illness, and will lay her many crowns at the feet of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, June 19, 2017. Visitation will be held all day Friday, June 23, 2017 at the funeral home with family present 6-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Elder Rick Newcomb of Odessa, TX. There will be a family gathering with food and fellowship at Calvary Chapel of San Angelo, 1735 Industrial Ave at 12:00 p.m., Saturday. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Doris was born on April 17, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed all of God’s wonders, some of her favorites were the Frio River, Concan, The Smokey Mountains and Padre Island. Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother and a wonderful sister. Her children were her greatest gift. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her son, Sean McCrohan and sisters, Diane McCrohan and Charlotte Craig.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Archie McCrohan of San Angelo; children, Phyllis Enders, Julia Burleson and husband Richard, Judy Clark all of Odessa, Shawnda Mohesky and husband Gregory, Pat McCrohan and wife Phyllis both of San Angelo and Debbie Damron of Abilene; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
