Obituary for David Paul Harrell

David Paul Harrell
David Paul Harrell, 47, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Belvedere Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
David was born August 13, 1969 to Lonnie and Gail Harrell. He grew up in San Angelo, TX, attending San Angelo ISD Central High School. He began working at M System food stores when he was fifteen and made a lifelong career of the grocery store business. He took great pride in his work through the years and was appreciated by the many customers he served and co-workers he worked with.
As David became ill over the last year he greatly enjoyed the company of his mother, Gail, his dog, Petey and his cat, Smokey. David had a relationship with the Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
David loved nature, hunting, sunrises, sunsets, the full moon, the night sky, Fall and Spring. He loved wild life and animals of all kinds, talking politics, music of all kinds, but mostly 70s and 80s Rock. He loved to watch the Dallas Cowboy games on the T.V. and visiting friends. He loved his friends and family deeply. His mother Gail was his rock and he never failed to say so. David will be very missed on this earth.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Harrell and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Davis is survived by his mother, Gail Harrell; his brothers, Wes Harrell and his wife and children and Wayne Harrell.
David shared many fond memories of his brothers and closest friends very often over this last year. We were all loved and cherished by David to the best of his ability. We were in his mind and heart always. He was very clear about that.
