Obituary for Cody Lee Childress

Cody Lee Childress went to meet our Lord and Savior May 5, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Cody was born August 14, 1964 in Big Lake, Texas. He graduated from Sonora High School and received an Associate degree in Business Management.
He was preceded in death by his brother, T.J. Childress.
Cody is survived by his son, Zachery L. Childress of Lubbock; father, Tommy Lee Childress and step mom, Marcella Childress of Big Lake; mother, Vicki Childress of Stephenville; brothers, Toby Lee Childress of Midland, Jason and Denise Hester of La Vista and Wesley and Shea Hester of Big Lake; sisters, Brandie and Daniel Prieto, Jr. of Stephenville and Sondra and Steven Dittman of Monahans; nieces and nephews, Jacob Hester, Jaden Hester, Jace Hester, Hagan Hester, Brody Stice Gavin Hester, Seth Hester, Cheyenne Childress, Colton Childress, Samuel and Stephanie Prieto, Joshua Prieto, Gabriel and Kaila Prieto, Tyler Childress and Zane Childress; aunt and uncle, Jim and Rhonda Gulley.
