Obituary for Patsy Lou Bates (Grossman)

Patsy Lou Bates (Grossman)
Patsy Lou Bates was born in Borger, Texas on December 3rd, 1953. She was the daughter of parents of both German and Choctaw (Native American) descent. Her father was Lonnie Grossman and her mother was Francis Fern McClellan Grossman.

She is survived by her husband, James Bates of San Angelo, TX. and their two children, Raymond Bates of San Angelo and Laurie Bates of Tyler, Texas; sister, Shirley Yake of Stinnett; brother, James Grossman of Amarillo. Also, her five grandchildren; Che Archer Bates, Ethan James Bates, Magdalynn Amber Bates, Gabriella Rae Bates and Natalie Ann Bates. Two great grandchildren, Aiden James Bates and Valleta Rae Bates.

Patsy and James were married for 49 years and 4 months. They were married on December 4th, 1967.

Patsy also had many spiritual brothers and sisters who loved her dearly. A most special date in her life happened on October 2, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas where she and her husband were baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses. Over the last 7 years she has served her father, Jehovah and did her utmost to heed the command of his son Jesus, to sanctify God’s name and proclaim the Good News of His Kingdom. (Matthew 6:9,10) Her love for Jehovah and his son was shown right up to her going to sleep in death on April 27, 2017. We look forward to seeing her again in the resurrection promised in John 11: 11-27.

A memorial service will be held for Patsy Bates at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 2021 East Pulliam Street, San Angelo, TX. at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 6th.
