Wade was born May 15, 1929 in Knickerbocker to Wade Sr. and Lillie Fisher.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Alton(Cotton) Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Chris and husband Russell Boring of Wimberley and Johnny and wife Debbie Fisher of Grape Creek; grandchildren, Chad and wife Jenny Ross of Cibolo, Seth and wife Sierra Fisher of San Angelo and Bonnie and husband Eli Simpson of Port Orchard, Washington; five great grandchildren; brother, Gene and wife Darlene Fisher of Oxnard, California.
Wade began his grocery career in Hopkins Grocery on North Chadbourne while in his teens and never left the grocery business. He worked for "M" System for many years before purchasing his first store Marx Street Grocery in the early '70's. In 1983 God gave the family the opportunity to build a location in Grape Creek and named it Fisher's Food Mart. He worked in this store where ever he was needed. He loved his customers and felt more at home in this location. He will be remembered by his customers for the "best meat in town" as he loved working in the meat market.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of San Angelo would be appreciated.
