Wanda was born February 15, 1930 in Carr Community in Mitchell County, TX to James Hulet Wagner and Eula May Wagner (Davenport). She was the youngest of thirteen children. She lived in Carr Community until she married the love of her life, Ramey Jameson in June of 1947, after which they moved to Silver, TX where they raised their family and she lived on the ranch until 2008. She obtained a nursing degree at the age of forty-one after all of her children had left home. She worked in Andrews County as a nurse.
Mom enjoyed gardening and being a rancher, where she loved riding around in the pasture in her pickup truck. She always preferred the outdoors which included being on the river fishing. She loved her cows, each one had a special name and Martha Jane, her cat was very special to her. Family was everything to her and she enjoyed cooking and canning and having wonderful meals ready. Wanda was always in the kitchen and always had a pot of coffee on.
Mom loved going to play dominoes with her siblings every Tuesday, where they fought in a loving way. She loved doing arts and crafts, which included painting and crocheting. She would spend hours working jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed reading western novels. She was an avid Rangers fan and loved David in the Kitchen on QVC. She was blessed to have wonderful and loving neighbors, both in Silver and San Angelo.
