Shirley Davis, 81, passed away Friday, November 4th, 2016 in San Angelo, Texas.
Shirley was born August 26, 1935 in Jackson Springs, North Carolina to Daniel Parrish and Reba Fultz Parrish.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Lockhart and husband Brad of League City, Tx., Holly White and fiance’ Chris Aldridge of San Angelo, TX., Moni Routt and wife Erica of Austin, TX.; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; her former husband and lifetime friend Warren Davis of San Angelo; and brother Ed Parrish of North Carolina.
Shirley loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a great cook and many wonderful memories are of her cooking for family and friends. Entertaining brought her much joy, she was an excellent decorator and hostess. Shirley was very independent and made sure her daughters knew that they could accomplish anything if they worked hard and to always stand up for what they believe in. Her uncanny wit, strong will and personal example of overcoming adversity are her lasting legacy.
Memorial service is at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Civic League Park Lily Garden with J.T. Tucker officiating. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
